Light Burnt Dolomite

Description:

Dolomite is a naturally occurring mineral and the chemical composition of this mineral is CaMg(CO3)2. Dolomite can be used in the raw form or after it is calcined to Light Burn or Dead Burnt Dolomite.

Application

Light Burnt Dolomite is a type of primary flux and when added to hot metal, it will combine with SiO2 which is oxidized from the hot metal to form a ”basic” slag that remains fluid at steelmaking temperatures. Sulphur and phosphorous from the hot metal are absorb into this slag.
